Programming Languages List

Computers are increasingly becoming an integral part of daily life. Their use can be seen in our work lives, our banking and shopping, and even in leisure activities (video games). Every year, more and more tasks are being performed by computers and less by human minds. Computers are able to accomplish these feats due to the complex data and programs that direct them. The directions come in the form of programming languages.

Computer programming languages are used to tell a computer to perform a certain function or a set of functions one step at a time. These functions may be as simple as displaying a single-word message on a monitor or as complex as the instructions coded into a modern video game. The choice of what programming language to use to accomplish a certain task can depend on many factors, such as how easy it is to make changes to the program, how easy it is to test the program, how the program interacts with other programs, and how easy it is to maintain the program over time.

The future for computer programming is very bright.
